Largest graduating class this Spring in Rio History

Rio Hondo College will be graduating the largest class in its history at the 45th Commencement Ceremony on the campus soccer field at 6 p.m., May 29.

Approximately 1,150 students will receive diplomas at the end of this spring semester as they conclude their academic journey at Rio Hondo.

"This year, we have more graduates than ever before in our history. I would like to congratulate every one of the 1,148 students who are completing their academic programs with us and wish them success in their future," said Rio Hondo Superintendent/ President Dr. Ted Martinez.

In addition to the ceremony, students will also be treated to a Commencement Breakfast, hosted by the ASB Senate at 9 a.m. in Campus Inn.

Graduation announcement cards, class rings, and other memorabilia are available at the bookstore.

Students are advised to attend the Commencement rehearsal that will be held prior to the ceremony at 5:30 p.m. on May 27 on the soccer field.

Guest parking for commencement will be available in the lower parking lots 1-6.

There will be a designated handicap parking area available in Lot "E" in the physical education area.

Designated disabled seating areas will also be available during the ceremony as well as sign language interpreters.

Students who have petitioned for graduation and wish to participate in the Commencement Ceremony must purchase the required cap and gown ensemble from the bookstore.

These will be available for purchase through May 29.
