Get on those dancing shoes and bust out the turn tables, electroclash duo Fischerspooner has released their third full-length album called "Entertainment" on May 5th.
And entertainment is what they give us.
When I popped the CD into my stereo, the first song that played titled 'The Best Revenge'' reminded me of 'Artificial World' by electronica artist Julee Cruise.
With its catchy synthesizers and beat and handsome vocals, I was instantly sucked into the whirlwind of the fast-paced and electric music that they create.
Some of the tracks, like 'Money Can't Dance' and 'Infidels of the World Unite', sound similar to songs by Depeche Mode, minus the British accent.
Since I really like Depeche Mode, I was eagerly willing to give "Entertainment" a chance.
I gave it a good, straight through listen and was not disappointed, which then lead me to listen to it over and over again.
Electricity is maintained through the entire album, without dragging tunes and whiney vocals that some electro bands have.
'In a Modern World' is one of my favorite songs of this album; it is slower paced, but still danceable.
I love sensuality in good music, and other than electricity, sensuality is felt in some of the songs, like 'Danse en France'.
"Entertainment" does not drift too far from their previous albums, maybe a little lighter than and not as dark as the songs on "Odyssey" and contains a little more vocals than "# 1", though the craftsmanship is still present.
Anyone who likes to dance or listen to electroclash music, this band, their new album, and their electric world are worth delving into.
