As our planet is suffering from the consequences of global warming, it feels good to have other options in our lifestyles that help us save our planet, our animals, and our skin.

Beauty is something many people take pride in, even if it requires no make-up to a vast variety of it.

I absolutely love make-up and, being a vegetarian, make-up that is cruelty-free is a major plus.

In organic make-up, there are no oils and fats used from animals or petroleum, which are substances that can clog up pores and cause acne, that are found in regular make-up.

Organic make-up is made from plants, and the oils from plants contain vitamins that are better for your skin.

Keeping your body and the environment away from harmful chemicals is always a better and safe idea, so when you shop for new cosmetics, make sure to look at the ingredients and check if it's organic.

Or simply check that it does not include these three harmful ingredients that can potentially be cancerous and harm your reproductive system: parabens, phthalates, and talc.

Some of the vegetarian and organic make-up and skin care products that I have found and used can be simply found in the cosmetic isle at most convenient stores.

Alba is one of my favorite brands because it is organic and vegetarian.

Alba makes all sorts of things for skin care, bath and body, hair care, lip care, and other personal care products that are natural, organic, and cruelty-free.

Another make-up brand that is organic is called Physicians Formula, which makes things that range from powder, lip balms, blush, and bronzers.

Another cruelty-free and environmentally safe brand is Aveda, a leader in skin, hair, and body care that uses plant-based formulas and does not use animal testing

Even Victoria's Secret offers a new brand of cosmetic care called PINK Body Products, a collection that is organic, cruelty-free, and vegan.

So if you want to do what you can to save your skin, our planet, and our animals, start investing in organic and vegetarian cosmetic and beauty products, even if it's just a little at a time.

You will look and feel a lot better.
