Bell Orchestre is a band that comes out of Montreal, and has caught the eyes and ears of many as they travel from city to city and from country to country with their Oct. 27 release of their EP titled "Who Designs Nature's How".
Bell Orchestre is made up of Six Members from different backgrounds of music they are Richard Reed Parry, bass and keyboard, and percussion, Sarah Neuferd, violinist, Stefan Schnelder drums and percussion, Pietro Amato, French horn and electronics, Kaven Nabatian, trumpet, and Mike Feuerstack on guitar.
To form up this most unique band, I wouldn't say it's just an instrumental type of band, but more like a new type of orchestra.
I had a chance to listen to a few songs off of this EP, like "Stripes", which kind of put me in a trance when listening and the video is pretty cool too.
They travel from The Banff Centre for Arts, to the forest and woods of Quebec and Vermont to make and write their music together as a band, and back to their Home Town of Montreal.
"Who Designs Nature's How" has an experience in its own way and is almost like experiencing a form of synesthesia, and not just sounds, but of visual elements as well.
The feeling is kind of like watching ice form on a city street or like watching a storm forming on the horizon, or watching the changing of light in the dusk of the night sky though you window.
One of the songs titled "As Seen through Window's" is a track filled with rich melodies that easily overcome the absence of vocals.
I also like the way they sound because of the unique and original sound that comes from their music, it's like hearing a new from classical music.
Their song called "Upwards March" is really good song because of the hypnotic melody.
I think people should check this new type of orchestra and see what the Bell Orchestre Is all about, because the feeling you get when you listen to them is so different than any other band.
So for people who like this type of music, check out this band and fall in to a trance.
