Dance your way to "Works in Progress"

Featuring a diverse show on student-choreographed performances, Rio Hondo's dance program will be presenting "Works in Progress".
"Works in Progress" will showcase performance s from Rio students as well as some of the faculty from the dance department.
Choreography will be by Bianca Breitenbucher, Christopher M. Chavez, Brandon J. Chau, Kevin Ellis, Melissa Flores, Rosa Martinez as well as Dance Director Alyson Cartagena.
Dance faculty members such as Rachel Lopez and Diana Sherwood will also be performing.
Students will be showcasing dance performances in genres, like ballet, hip-hop, contemporary dance and jazz.
Not only will audiences enjoy the different genres each performance will have, but also the big spectrum of themes like super-egos and vampires.
Some of the students who will be performing will also be auditioning with the same routine for their transfer to a four-year university.
Dance students in Cartagena's beginning and advanced classes will also be in the show.
The basics of "Works in Progress" and the dance are to note the high quality of its productions and Rio's students.
"Works in Progress" will be the only dance concert featured this fall.
Additional dance concerts will be available for audiences such as "National Dance Week" and "Evening of Dance," which will take place in the upcoming spring.
"Works in Progress" will be showcased for three days in the Wray Theatre Nov. 12-14 starting at 8.
The show is completely free for all audiences.
